1. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, Maharashtra

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) in Mumbai is one of India’s most iconic railway stations and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is built in 1887 and is a beautiful blend of Victorian Gothic Revival and traditional Indian architecture. It is designed by British architect Frederick William Stevens ad features intricate carvings, domes, and stained-glass windows. CSMT handles millions of passengers boarding long distance trains and suburban trains daily. It is a symbol of Mumbai’s colonial past and dynamic present, standing as a masterpiece in India’s railway heritage. 

2. Ghum Railway Station, West Bengal

Sitting at the height of 2,258 meters (7,407 ft) above sea level, it is India’s highest railway station and one of world’s highest railway station. Ghum railway station is part of UNESCO World Heritage Darjeeling Himalayan Railway. So, you can have a toy train ride here. It offers incredible views of the Eastern Himalayas. It is one of most amazing railway stations in India that offers a beautiful view. 

3. Srinagar Railway Station, Jammu and Kashmir

Located in one of the most beautiful places in the world, Srinagar Railway Station is designed in Kashmiri wooden architecture to perfectly blend with its surrounding natural beauty. 4. Madhubani Railway Station, Bihar

You must have heard about Madhubani Painting, a famous traditional art from Bihar. Walls of Madhubani Railway Station are covered with these traditional Mithila Paintings or Madhubani Paintings. All these paintings are painted by local artists. It looks more like an open art gallery than a railway station. 5. Kashi Railway Station, Uttar Pradesh

Kashi Railway Station is small and beautiful railway station. It is located above the banks of Ganga River in one of the world’s oldest living cities.
