You can read Part 1 of this story here : Searching the Forest Man of India.
Biman Dada mostly stays in Jorhat city for the studies of their children. His shop is here only so, he comes here daily but his wife
and children come here on holidays. Today they were going back but because of me cancelled their plan and now they will go in morning. We reached his house and got little fresh then he took us to his computer shop from there he took us to a restaurant near Nimati ghat for having lunch/evening breakfast. We all had a tasty Aalu Paratha😋.
It’s evening around 6 pm Brahmaputra River is looking extremely beautiful. You can see this view here in this video.
We returned to his house and went back to his shop. I spent some time with them at night; Aunty has prepared traditional vegetarian Assamese food for me. It was very tasty. I got a good sleep and my body got much needed rest though I am still feeling little exhausted. In morning Biman dada with his wife and children left for the city. Aunty asked me to go, only after having breakfast🩷. I couldn’t say no, of course 😉. Today I also met with Biman dada’s father, yesterday he was out and came late. He showed me his village and also helped me in getting a reserve auto rickshaw at low price. I gave a phone call to Jadav Payeng sir, he told me right now he is in his forest and will return by 11 am. I thought it will very much hot if I go after 12 so, after having breakfast I immediately started my journey. Auto driver bhaiya was also very nice and he also wants to meet the Forest Man of India now. I reached at his house around 9 am, of course he was not here. I talked to his family and got to know that he went to forest as early as 3 am in morning. And if I also want to go to forest, I have to come early morning around 4 am.
I was like how?
He came around 11 pm at night and went to his forest at 3 am in morning. How much dedicated he is. Now, I am even more excited to meet him.

I was talking to his daughter and suddenly he came carrying woods from his jungle… I was surprised by seeing him, how grounded he is. He was looking like a normal villager who has collected and brought some woods for his house. I finally met him… Jadav Molai Payeng.
We immediately started talking there was almost no sign of tiredness he looking like a man in his 40s, so much energy. We talked little then he went to the neighbours’ house and brought some milk.
He offered us tea, I said I don’t drink tea he said no worries I will drink your tea also 😂. He told me that he is a tea lover and wherever he goes he carries his own Assamese tea masala powder and also there are times when he returned his house from different places just because his tea masala powder is over and can’t drink his favourite tea anymore (A true Assamese tea lover) 😂.

I told him that I also want to make some videos with him near the ghat from where his forest is visible. He immediately agreed and was ready to go; I asked him to have a lunch then we can go. He said he will eat after some time.
I got to know that he has not eaten anything from morning. He told me, he took some tea masala to his forest in morning and made milk tea there only and had a glass of milk tea.
“That’s enough for me; my stomach is full. That’s my everyday breakfast. I glass of milk tea”.
He is still full of energy.
He told me lots of stories (He talks a lot Hehe like me).
So, what all things we talked about? We will see that in my next blog. If you want to know anything about, drop it in comment section.
Until next time, keep travelling and take care of our Mother Nature.
