1. By Air
Donyi Polo airport is the nearest airport to Itanagar. It is located in Hollongi in Itanagar only around 14 Km from city centre. It is a domestic airport and has various domestic flights from different parts of the nation. You can board a flight from Guwahati, Kolkata or other parts of the country to here. From Guwahati it will take maximum 1 hour to reach here by flight. You can easily get cabs, taxis and buses from the airport to the main city.
There are also helicopter services from Guwahati to Naharlagun. You can also board it and enjoy a bird eye view of Himalayas of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh. It will give you a unique experience. And from Naharlagun you can easily reach Itanagar by cab, taxi or bus. Helicopter service is also available to various parts of Arunachal Pradesh.

Nearest railway station to Itanagar is Naharlagun. There are trains that runs every day from Guwahati and Kamakhaya. It is well connected with various railway stations of Assam. It also has a train coming from New Delhi and one train coming from various parts of Gujarat. You can check if any train comes from your place or not. From Naharlagun there you can board a taxi or bus to Itanagar. It will take maximum half an hour (of course depending on traffic) to reach Itanagar.

Itanagar is properly connected to various parts of Assam including Guwahati by road. You can expect a scenic drive from hilly roads of the Himalayas. From Guwahati it will take around 8 to 10 hours to reach Itanagar. Regular taxi services, private cabs, rental vehicles and buses are easily available from Guwahati to Itanagar.
