Parasailing vs Paragliding vs Skydiving

We humans do not have wings, but I guess it’s everyone’s dream to fly. Even you must have thought about flying at least once. Luckily there are various ways through which we can experience flying. Extreme adventure sports including paragliding, skydiving and para sailing gives us this opportunity to fly. However, most people are often confused among these three or all three are same? The answer is no, all these three are different. So, let’s see their differences and which one you will prefer.

Parasailing

Parasailing is a recreational activity, which is also known as parascending or parakiting. It is basically water adventure sports in which a person is towed behind a boat while attached to a specially designed parachute, called a parasail. It is a popular water adventure sports where you could experience the thrill of flying enjoying the bird eye view of ocean. Anyone could this beautiful activity even if you are doing it for the first time as Parasailing does not require much effort; it is a relaxing and calming activity where you just need to enjoy and the control is in the boat operator’s hand. It is very ideal sports for all where you can experience thrill with relaxation.

Though mostly it is done on water, you can also experience it on ground where you will be towed behind a vehicle.

Paragliding places in India

Paragliding

Paragliding is one of the most thrilling adventure sports that can give you opportunity to fly for hours over scenic beauty of mountains. The scenic beauty and serene nature that you can enjoy while paragliding is simple unmatchable with any other activities. In paragliding weather plays an important role, as we need to ascend up and fly horizontally. Also, there is no free fall in paragliding, we need to run and slowly you will realize you are flying. Anyone with moderate training can do it with instructor attached, however if you want to do it solo you need extensive training.

There are many wonderful places in India where you could experience this heart pounding experience including Bir Billing (also known as Paragliding capital of India), Yelagiri and many more. You should check out this list of best places for paragliding in India

Solang Valley Manali

Skydiving

Skydiving is an exhilarating adventure sport that offers a unique combination of adrenaline and awe. It involves jumping out of a plane or hot air ballon at high altitudes, then free-falling at speeds of up to 200 km/h before deploying a skydiving parachute for an amazing descent. In skydiving you get to jump from the highest altitude comparing to any other flying adventure sports. If you are a beginner then you should go for tandem jump where you will be harnessed to an experienced instructor. The breathtaking views of the earth from high above, coupled with the sense of freedom during free-fall, make skydiving an unforgettable experience. Skydiving is one of the most heart pounding and unmatchable experience you can have. If you want to do it solo you need to go through extensive training.

I think now your doubts about all these three adventure sports most be clear. Talking about budget the most budget friendly among all is parasailing which is a relaxing experience but when we see thrill paragliding is more budget friendly as well as the duration of flight is longer while offering the best view of mountains. On the other hand, Skydiving is very high budget sport, it is also exhilarating and rushing experience but definitely you will feel like you have conquered your fear. So, which one you will prefer the most? Let me know in comment section.

Until next time, keep travelling and take care of Nature.
