How It Started?
This place was devasted in 2001 earthquake and local people were leaving from here due to no future however everything changes when then Chief Minister Narendra Modi (now Prime Minister of India) organize Dhordo Rann Utsav for the first time in 2005 for just 2 days which is now converted to a 4-month celebration. Now it has created lots of opportunities for locals and people from far alike. This festival is a testament that anything can rise and can be molded into something extraordinary. We just need a vision and will to do it.
