1. Triund Trek
Trekking to Triund is the most popular and everyone’s favourite option for trekking in Dharamshala. This 9 Km trek is ideal for beginners and can be finished within a day however we will suggest you to stay for a night at Triund base camp to enjoy more and so that you cannot miss the Triund trek night view. You can also take your own camp and do camping and Triund top. Triund trek route will take you through oak and rhododendron forests offering breathtaking views of the Kangra Valley on one side and the snow-capped Himalayas on the other. Known for its easy accessibility and moderate difficulty, Triund is a must-visit for nature lovers seeking a short yet rewarding Himalayan experience.

2. Bhagsunag Waterfall Trek
This is the short and beautiful trek is everyone’s favourite almost everyone who come to Dharamshala explore this refreshing trek and waterfall. It is around 1 Km trek that starts from Bhagsunag temple, which is an ancient temple. Bhagsunag waterfall is a half hill trek and can be moderately difficult for some yet most people do it because it is just around 20-30 min trek from Bagsunath Temple. You can also do further uphill trek which will take you to Leta Peak and Khartani Peak.

3. Indrahar Pass Trek
The Indrahar Pass Trek is a thrilling adventure that takes you through the rugged beauty of the Dhauladhar range, reaching an altitude of 4,342 meters. It offers stunning views of the snow-capped peaks, Kangra Valley, and the vast Himalayan expanse. Indrahar trek starts from McLeod Ganj and will take you through various other trekking sites including Leta Peak, Karthani Peak and Triund. In fact, most people who go to Indrahar Pass usually camp for a day at Triund, then at lahesh cave and then on third day reaches at Indrahar pass. Known for its challenging terrain, this trek is best suited for experienced adventurers.

4. Kareri Lake Trek
Kareri trek will take to stunning high-altitude freshwater lake, Kareri Lake sitting at an altitude of 2,934 meters. The trek starts from Kareri village and will take you through a moderate level challenging trial. Kareri lake trek distance from Kareri village is around 12 Kms and it is a two days trek. Some people may do it in a day but you won’t be able to enjoy it properly in a day it is best to enjoy a Kareri lake night view. Most of the trek companies will pick you up from Dharamshala or Mcleodganj. Kareri lake trekking is very much rewarding it offers stunning views of the Dhauladhar range and will take you through windy trails of lush pine forests, alpine meadows, gurgling streams and ultimately view of stunning Kareri lake sitting in the mid of snow-capped mountains.
