The lake is dotted with tree trunks rising from its crystal-clear water, creating a surreal landscape on the Himalayan mountains. It is managed by the Indian Army and is located above 12,000 feet from sea level.
4. Jaswant Garh War Memorial
Jaswant Garh War Memorial is dedicated to Rifleman Jaswant Singh Rawat of the Indian Army. He heroically fought against Chinese forces during the 1962 Indo-Chinese war at Nuranang, holding his post for three days. Located around 25 km from Tawang, this place will remind you of how grateful we all should be for the Indian Army who protects us. It will remind you of their exceptional courage, bravery and determination.
5. Jang Waterfall
Jang Waterfall is also known as Nuranang Falls or Bong Bong Falls. It is one of the most famous tourist places near Tawang. Located in dense forests, misty hills and having a fall of around 100 meters, it creates a spectacular sight and a roaring sound.
